Web Banner Contest

Help us customize your McGrath website, impress your friends and neighbors and get the opportunity to win cash and prizes.

The main banner displayed on every web page has a center graphic, the tower, along with buttons for navigation.

We would like to customize the center graphic (the tower) specifically for the McGrath, Alaska website.  But not just any graphic - we'd like it to be something that can help a website visitor get a "feel" for the McGrath community.

Therefore we're asking any artists, photographers or other interested people in McGrath to submit to us a photograph or graphic that will replace the tower graphic in all web pages for the McGrath website.  Only the center graphic is required.  The blue background, title and buttons will remain.

You don't have to create the actual graphic either.  For example, sending us a photograph and a note on which part of it should be displayed as a graphic may be enough.  We'll let you know if we need more information.  Call us if you have any questions on whether your idea can be submitted.

The center graphic is approximately 808 pixels wide and 110 pixels tall.  This graphic can either be from a photograph or sent to us as a JPG, TIFF, or GIF graphic.

Landscape photographs, arts & crafts, collages, digital montages, anything that you feel represents the McGrath community can be accepted for consideration.  Use your imagination.

Some basic rules:   One entry per person
     
    Open to current residents of McGrath, Alaska, only.  You do not have to be a Borealis customer.
     
    Entry must be either in digital form or another form that can be scanned or created  into a digital format.  See paragraph above.
     
    One winner and one runner-up prize will be awarded.
     
    Entrant must own or control  the copyright of the entry and permit the usage of the graphic or image by Borealis.  We can provide you a form to sign.
     
    Entries will be reviewed by Borealis and five finalists will be selected.  These will be converted into sample banners and then voted on by the McGrath community for the final Winner and Runner-Up.
     
    Winner and Runner-Up will be announced by Borealis.  All decisions are final.
     
    Additional rules may be created or modified  to address any unforeseen issues.  This contest void where prohibited by law.

Voting Period:   March 16 through March 31st
